Spain: 5 reasons to visit Lanzarote
Eu poderia começar o texto mentido dizendo que Lanzarote sempre esteve na minha bucketlist, que sempre morri de vontade de conhecer essa ilha das Canárias, na Espanha. Na verdade é que tudo o que eu sabia sobre o local é que ele foi escolhido por José Saramago – um dos nossos autores preferidos – para ser chamado de casa. E só isso.
I could start this story lying and saying that Lanzarote has always been in my bucket list and that I always desired to visit this Canary Island in Spain. In fact, that is pretty much everything I knew about this place besides that it was chosen by José Saramago - one of our favorite authors - to be called home. That was it.

entre o dia que marcamos a viagem e o dia de embarcar num voo direto da Condor
(Stuttgart – Lanzarote), foi um sucessão de descobertas e a construção de
um planejamento de viagem meio aflito e improvisado, pois, à primeira vista, a
ideia seria descansar de toda a turbulência de 3 ou 4 meses do processo de
mudança Brasil/Alemanha.

que quando a gente pensa numa ilha na Espanha o que vem à mente é praia.
Cenários paradisíacos, areia branca, sombra e água fresca. Em Lanzarote é
diferente. Ou melhor, a ilha tem personalidade, tem praias memoráveis, mas tem
paisagens tão surreais que é como se estivéssemos o tempo inteiro em um cenário
de filme. Por volta de 1730 as últimas erupções vulcânicas começaram a formar os tesouros místicos da ilha hoje;

pousar no aeroporto de Arrecife, capital de Lanzarote, constatamos que os pontos brancos que avistamos de longe e se destacam da terra árida, seca e marrom,
são as cidades. Toda a ilha tem um estilo arquitetônico único e, até então, bem
preservado. Podemos dizer que muito disso deve-se ao seu filho ilustre, Cesar
Marinque, arquiteto pela Universidade de Laguna e que dizia que Lanzarote era
o lugar mais bonito da terra e seu propósito era mostrar a sua beleza para o
mundo;

zona da ilha (zonas costeiras, maciço de Famara, monte Corona e Parque Nacional
Timanfaya) são observados em toda sua extensão. Por causa da pouca precipitação
e alta luminosidade, cactos, suculentas e palmeiras são comumente encontradas
em Lanzarote;

para viver por 18 anos. Visitar sua casa e sua biblioteca é mais um dos
tesouros que encontramos nesse baú de maravilhas que é Lanzarote.
