Achar hotel bacana em Punta del Este não é tarefa fácil. Como todo balneário badalado na alta temporada, a oferta é alta mas os preços das diárias também são. Não se engane, Punta del Este não é um destino com hotéis baratos, mas a cidade pede um pouco de conforto e glamour na estadia e foi isso que encontramos ao nos hospedar no Atlántico Boutique Hotel.  Localizado bem no meio da península, é ótimo para quem quer explorar a região do Porto de Punta del Este a pé e caminhar pelas ramblas. Além disso, o hotel está a 5 minutos de táxi do Terminal de Ônibus.

To find a nice and cheap hotel in Punta del Este is no easy task. Like all trendy balneary in the high season, the offer is good but the prices are not. Make no mistake, Punta del Este is not a destination with cheap hotels, but the city goes with a bit of comfort and glamor and that's what we found when staying at the Atlantico Boutique Hotel. Located right in the middle of the peninsula, it’s great for those wishing to explore the region of the port of Punta del Este and walk on the Ramblas. In addition, the hotel is 5 minutes away by taxi from the bus terminal.

Design e simpatia | Design and sympathy

O site onde reservamos as nossas duas diárias é clean e segue a linha de design chic vista nas dependências do hotel. O staff, desde o primeiro momento, foi bem atencioso e cordial. No momento do check-in, é feita uma detalhada apresentação dos arredores e das parcerias entre o hotel e estabelecimentos vizinhos – bares e restaurantes –, onde os hóspedes usufruem de descontos. Primeira boa impressão: check! Apesar de nós falarmos espanhol, eles se esforçaram para fazer todo o processo em português, e não é por acaso. Como os brasileiros invadem o balneário durante todo o verão, nós somos maioria por lá.

The website where we booked our two nights is clean and aligned with the chic looking design the hotel got. The staff he was very attentive and friendly from the very beginning. Upon check-in, a detailed presentation of the surroundings and neighboring establishments - bars and restaurants where guests have discounts -, is made. First impression: check! Although we speak Spanish, they struggled to make the whole process in Portuguese, and it is no accident. As the Brazilians migrate to Punta throughout the summer, we are the majority there.

O Atlántico Boutique Hotel, que tem 45 quartos recentemente reformados, adotou o branco e a ode à praia como tema da sua charmosa e enxuta decoração. Parece que estamos dentro de um filtro do instagram. O hotel conta com 7 categorias de quartos, nós ficamos hospedados na de entrada, a Chic. As diferenças entre elas, no entanto, são bem sutis: tamanho da tv, área do quarto e vista, são as principais que posso apontar. Nosso quarto tinha um tamanho excelente (18m2), tv de lcd de 32” com canais a cabo, frigobar vazio, uma cama queen size extremamente confortável, sacada com vista parcial do o mar e banheiro moderno, com amenities próprias, muito boas, e secador de cabelo potente. Para completar, sinal de wi-fi forte durante toda a estadia.

The Atlantico Boutique Hotel has 45 recently refurbished rooms, adopted the white and the ode to the beach as the theme of its charming and lean decor. It looks like you are inside an Instagram filter. The hotel offers 7 categories of rooms and we were staying at the entry one: the Chic. The differences between them, however, are very subtle: room area, tv and bedroom size, the balcony  and the room view are the main ones we can point. Our room had an excellent size (18m2), 32 " lcd tv with cable channels, empty minibar, an extremely comfortable queen size bed, balcony with partial views of the sea and modern bathroom, with its own very good amenities and a powerful hairdryer. On top of it strong wi-fi signal during the whole stay.

Sombra e água fresca | Dolce far niente by the pool

O café da manhã, tipicamente uruguaio, é servido com um toque de requinte. Pequenas porções numa mesa central em estilo buffet são constantemente repostas, a fim de oferecer aos hóspedes pães, croissants, tortas e bolos sempre fresquinhos e quentinhos. Iogurtes, cereais, frutas, ovos mexidos (iguaria não muito comum no desayuno dos demais hotéis uruguaios), frios e o onipresente doce de leite. Servido até tarde, no restaurante que é interligado com o jardim e a piscina, achamos tudo muito agradável, uma forma leve de começar o dia. Durante o verão, o bar da piscina fica aberto das 13h até às 20h servindo drinks muito gostosos, snacks e finger foods. Nós aproveitamos uma tarde inteira de muito sol à beira da piscina, em um dos charmosos bungalows, provando a bebida vedete de Punta del Este: o Clericot.

The typically Uruguayan breakfast is served with a touch of refinement. Small portions at a central table buffet are constantly replenished in order to offer guests breads, croissants, pies and cakes always freshly baked and warm. Yogurts, cereals, fruit, scrambled eggs (not very common delicacy in the desayuno of other Uruguayans hotels), ham and cheese and the ubiquitous dulce the leche. Served until a later than regular time in the restaurant, which is linked with the garden and the pool. It’s all very nice, a soft way to start the day. During the summer, the pool bar is open from 1 to 8pm, serving very delicious drinks, snacks and finger foods. We enjoyed a full summer afternoon by the pool, in one of the charming bungalows, proving the star drink of Punta del Este: the Clericot.
